MEET THE TEAM
ALISON BOSWORTH
Alison Bosworth
Director & founder
I'm Alison and I am the founder of Bale's Farm. The Farm grew from a dream for my son. Harry is now ten years old and has been on a really tough journey through education so far. After trying different environments it really became obvious that school just wasn't going to work for him. I looked at all the things he needed and with the help and support of my husband and close friend we set about building the farm. It was meant to be when I met Charlotte through Bale's Buddies Therapy Dogs and the dream became even more of a reality. I wanted a predominantly outdoor based learning environment offering a small peer group for Harry and for learning to be done organically and based around them and how they learn. It has been a dream come true to now see him and others benefitting from what we have built.
CHARLOTTE HALEY
Charlotte Haley
Educational Practitioner
I’m Charlotte and I have spent many years working as a teacher of children with Special Educational Needs, in both mainstream and special educational settings. Throughout that time, my passion for working with children in these environments motivated me to further my own education and I have achieved a Masters in Special and Inclusive Education and The National S.E.N.C.O. Award.
Since adopting our daughter who has Autism, PTSD and Developmental Trauma Disorder, I believed that dedicating my time to further my understanding in these areas would prove invaluable and I truly believe this has paid dividends. Also immersing myself in courses such as Therapeutic Parenting to support her through her life and her home education journey has also enabled me to adapt my approach to varying educational settings.
I am a Forest School Leader and a big believer in outdoor education and when I met Alison and heard her dream of providing a Farm School for children with Special Educational Needs, I was excited for both myself as a teacher and as a parent. We have worked together to provide an environment which we feel educates and supports children who are struggling in their current setting or who are home educated and are looking for an outdoor learning opportunity.

Hi I’m Mollie. I’m currently doing an Animal Care and Welfare apprenticeship. I’ve always loved animals and enjoy learning about them. I really like showing the children that come to the farm how to clean, care for and feed all the animals. I love my job on the farm!
SEAN DAVEY
Sean Davey
Family Practitioner
Hello I’m Sean. I have been supporting young people with disabilities in a range of different settings for many years and I’ve always found this work incredibly rewarding.
I have always enjoyed working in an outdoor environment and seeing how the young people can benefit from this. Achieving my Level 2 in British Sign Language I have been able to support young people with communication that are deaf and teach other young people that take interest on the farm. It’s been wonderful at the end of the day to sit around the campfire, have a cup of hot chocolate, play the guitar and enjoy a singalong with the young people.
ARTHUR HAINES

Educational Support Worker
Hey I'm Arthur I love doing all the outside aspects on the farm, from cleaning out the animals to planting trees. Before I worked on the farm I was in the army, so I love passing down everything I learned from my previous career to the young people who come to the farm. I'm a massive animal lover and currently have 14 pets at home which take up most of my time when I am not working. Whenever I'm not working or looking after my pets, I'm usually doing some sort of animal activism or hanging out with friends.

James Roome
Educational Support Worker
Hi my name is James Roome and I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Science. I have worked for four years as an animal keeper, and as part of the Job I did take part in animal shows, educating the public about the animals. Taking part in these shows made me realise that I did enjoy educating. Using my knowledge and experience that I have gained, I would love to help educate the kids that come to Bales Farm.
