A Week Full of Royalty, Rockets and New Furry Friends!

We've had another exciting week packed with learning, creativity and plenty of smiles!

Learning About King Charles III

This week's topic has been King Charles III. Our young people have enjoyed learning about the King's life, his role as our monarch and the traditions surrounding the Royal Family. We had some great discussions and discovered lots of interesting facts about the history of the monarchy in the UK.

A Wimbledon Treat!

With Wimbledon in full swing, we couldn't resist bringing a little tennis-themed fun into the kitchen! We baked some delicious Strawberries & Cream Flapjacks, inspired by the tournament's most famous snack. Everyone enjoyed measuring, mixing and, of course, tasting the finished treats. They were a huge hit!

Blast Off in Science!

Science this week was full of excitement as we designed and built our own rockets before heading outside to launch them. It was fantastic to see everyone's creations soar into the air, and we had lots of fun exploring how different designs affected how far the rockets travelled. There were plenty of cheers with every successful launch!

Meet Our New Kittens!

We are delighted to introduce the newest members of our family: Violet, Tabitha and Wilbur! These three adorable kittens have already been bringing lots of joy, curiosity and smiles to everyone they meet. Our young people have loved getting to know their different personalities, and we're looking forward to watching them grow.

Welcome to the Cat-io!

To make sure our kittens stay happy and safe while still enjoying plenty of fresh air, we've also introduced our brand-new cat-io. This secure outdoor enclosure gives Violet, Tabitha and Wilbur a safe space to explore, play and relax, while allowing our young people to spend quality time with them in a protected environment. It's been wonderful to see everyone enjoying the space together.

It's been another fantastic week filled with learning, laughter and new experiences. We can't wait to see what adventures next week will bring!

Community Bike Project

We recently rescued several old bicycles from the local recycling centre, and we're hoping to give them a new lease of life! We'd love to get them repaired and ready for our children to enjoy before the summer holidays begin.

We're looking for members of our local community who may be able to help. Whether you're handy with bike repairs, have some spare parts, or could volunteer a little of your time, your support would make a real difference. By working together, we can provide more opportunities for our young people to enjoy outdoor play, build confidence and have fun over the summer.
